After waiting for weeks for their COVID-19 results and clearances, 25 crew members have now arrived at their provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao regions.
Last Friday, May 22, 25 Magsaysay seafarers were given the greenlight to return to their home provinces. Magsaysay and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) provided our crew members with buses, which took them to their respective seaports to board the mercy ships that are part of the Inter-Agency Task Force's Balik Probinsya program.
The seafarers expressed their gratitude for the help and support given to them. They also extended their appreciation to various government agencies that work tirelessly to protect the Filipino people from the threat of COVID-19.
Arriving seafarers undergo the mandatory health protocols implemented by their local government units as part of the measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Magsaysay is in constant coordination with various government agencies to ensure that its seafarers will be reunited with their families and loved ones after being cleared with the Philippine government's protocol on COVID-19.
Realizing the tough situation our people are going through, we make sure that our crew members are provided with the right support and assistance they need during these trying times. By setting up communication channels for them, our seafarers can reach out to us for any concerns.
