QUESTION: I live in Metro Manila/Luzon. Which DFA offices are open to serve me?

ANSWER: All DFA consular offices in Luzon, including Metro Manila, are closed until further notice starting March 17, 2020

Q: When will consular offices open?

A: Based on DFA’s announcement, they expect to re-open by April 15, 2020. But this is still subject to change

Q: I have a confirmed appointment that will be affected. What should I do?

A: No need! Everyone with a confirmed appointment will be accommodated first once consular offices re-open

Q: So I don’t have to re-schedule my appointment?

A: No. All you have to do is go to the DFA consular office during offices hours, from April 15 to May 20, except during Saturdays

Q: What about people like me in the Visayas? Or Mindanao?

A: Offices in these places will remain open. However, they will only operate with skeletal workforces

Q: So what if they only have skeletal workforces?

A: It means consular offices will only accommodate emergencies

Q: What are considered emergencies?

A: According to the DFA, these involve two things: 1) OFWs 2) medical emergencies

Q: What about my confirmed appointment?

A: Like those in Luzon, you will be accommodated starting April 13 to May 29, during regular hours, except on Saturdays

Q: I’m expecting a passport delivery. Will it arrive?

A: Yes. However, it will probably be delayed, so you should adjust your travel plans
