Mitsui O.S.K. Passenger Line, Ltd. (MOPAS) , in partnership with Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC), held a pre-departure meeting to Nippon Maru crew members last February 26 at the Robert Hall, Times Plaza Building, Manila, Philippines.

Fifty-eight (58) crew members were personally met by MOPAS’ Naohiko Yamaguchi, President and Takako Takahashi, Assistant Manager Onboard Management Group. During the meeting, the MOPAS executives discussed updates on company policies and procedures highlighting the implementation of the new alcohol policy. The discussion was also joined in by MMC’s Marlon Roño, Executive Chairman; Arnold Javier, President; Nori Leonidas, Cruise Group Head; and Patrick Maxwell, Vice-President of the Magsaysay People Resources Corporation.

Presently, MMC has deployed 142 crew members to MOPAS’ Nippon Maru, many of whom occupy hospitality, culinary and technical positions onboard.​
