Enesel Limited, in cooperation with Magsaysay Maritime Corporation (MMC), has successfully held its Filipino Seafarers’ Forum 2019 on June 4 at Sarika Ballroom of Dusit Thani Manila, Philippines. The forum was attended by more than thirty Filipino officers and crew members who shared their experiences and best practices onboard.
The event featured topics and panel discussions where participants exchanged views and addressed the various challenges facing seafarers today such as mental health, safety campaign, navigation incident, leadership matters including the latest maritime regulations that will affect the shipping industry in 2020. The discussion was facilitated by Enesel’s Erwin Derlagen, Chief Operating Officer; Amalia Marcou, Crew Manager; Labros Nicolaras, HSQE Manager/Deputy DPA & Deputy CSO/EMR; Capt. Nicolaos Denaxas, Operator-Marine Superintendent/DPA/CSO; Michalis Papaioannou, Fleet Manager; MMC’s Arnold Javier, President; Ernesto Yutadco, Marine Group Head; and Paul Gutierrez, Fleet HR Director.
The forum is organized annually by the Enesel’s management team in order for them to develop closer relationship with their Filipino officers and crew members and to provide company updates as well.
