Doris Magsaysay Ho, President and CEO of Magsaysay Group of Companies, was presented with the Personality of the Year Award at the recently concluded 11th Seatrade Maritime Awards Asia held at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore on April 25, 2018 with close to 400 leading maritime industry guests attending. For the first time, three female maritime executives were lauded for their contributions, awarding the top three awards to Ms. Doris Magsaysay Ho as Seatrade Personality of the Year, Ms. Katie Men, Managing Director of Iseaco Investment Pte as Seatrade Young Person of the Year, and Ms. Tan Beng Tee, Assistant Chief Executive of Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore for the Seatrade Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Seatrade Personality Award honors outstanding personal contributions and achievements in the global maritime industry. Christopher Hayman acknowledged Ms. Ho's contribution to the industry in general, and acknowledged her tireless and inspiring commitment to the seafarers.
Magsaysay People Resources Corporation, the human resource arm of the Magsaysay Group of Companies, was also a finalist in the Education and Training category.
