Fairmont Shipping, in cooperation with Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, held its 16th Officers and Crew Conference last April 11-12, 2019 at the Magsaysay Institute of Shipping in Dasmariñas City, Cavite, Philippines. The conference gathered 87 officers and crew members for 2 days of seminars and workshops including a teambuilding activity and the annual Service Awards Night.
Fairmont Shipping (Canada) Ltd. Senior Vice President Charles Leung welcomed the participants and cited that the company will continue to organize conferences so that officers, crew members and invited guests and speakers can sit down and talk, exchange opinions, and to learn more and build relationships.
With the theme “Shipboard Accident Prevention and Health Awareness”, the conference aimed for officers and crew members to be aware and knowledgeable on how to work safely and be healthy on board. Topics discussed include promotion of health and wellness, port state control issues, accident prevention and safety operations onboard, among others.
